Vector Equilibrium - the cuboctahedron is an exceptional solid, where all force vectors balance out, creating ideal equilibrium.
Its name comes from the fact that this solid can be obtained by cutting the vertices of both a cube or of an octahedron.

Jitterbug, the Vector Equilibrium dance by Richard Buckminster Fuller. Jitterbug is the name of an acrobatic dance, and in our context it is just a metaphor describing the transformations within a cuboctahedron - the Vector Equilibrium.
